which is an incubator based out of Monterey County, California.
The following services will be provided under this initiative:
1. Technical assistance in the form of training to create a business plan along with a marketing plan and financial projections.
2. Assistance with micro loans of up to $5000 through partnerships with financial institutions.
3. Ongoing consulting assistance over a two year period until the business becomes sustainable.
This program will focus on small scale farmers and farmer co-operatives. A project in the field of sustainable agriculture is being taken up in co-operation with the Community Agroecology Network (CAN)in Agua Buena, Costa Rica to assist the Coopepueblos co-operative which is a coffee co-operative consisting of 54 members. |
